The SRS (Safety Restraint System) module, also called the airbag electronic crash unit (ECU), is an electronic module in modern cars that controls the deployment of an airbag. When the SRS module is activated, it records a fixed fault code that cannot be erased with a diagnostic scanner. As a result, even after the car has been repaired at a reputable panel beater or repair shop the car will still register an airbag error on the dash or other infotainment modules as a software fault is still present within the SRS module. In some cases, this error stored will also prevent the car from turning over.
Typically, the next step is to purchase a new airbag SRS module from the dealer and program it into the vehicle. However, this option can be costly due to module sourcing, programming, and towing costs.
With Eurotronix's knowledge and assistance, we can reset your car's existing airbag module to its original state providing a cost-effective plug-and-play solution.
